As emergency service professionals, First Responders face unique challenges that can only be truly comprehended by those in similar roles. Recognizing the need for a confidential platform for peer-to-peer connection, the team behind iRel8 developed this app to facilitate discussions on various topics such as resilience, fitness, mental health, family dynamics, and more.

The app was created in response to feedback from Law Enforcement, Firefighters, EMS personnel, and Dispatchers who expressed a need for a trusted and confidential space to connect with others who understand their experiences.

Whether your department lacks a formal peer support program or you wish to enhance existing support networks, ResponderRel8 offers a valuable resource for individual First Responders and teams alike. The app's features include secure chat rooms, customizable profile options for anonymity or transparency, tiered chat structures for different levels of engagement, and strict guidelines against inappropriate content.

All app development was informed by input from ResponderStrong, Warrior’s Rest, Global Medical Response, and various frontline and leadership professionals across different branches. Moreover, ResponderRel8 is supported by over 100 volunteers serving as App Ambassadors to assist users within the platform.
